New spot?

Today I found a new spot, they are so small. The old ones are not healing so I worry that eventually I will miss the new spots because I will think they are old spots. Tomorrow's blood test will be interesting. They say the spots will fade as the numbers go up but I am still waiting.

In good news the bruise I have had on my calf since the 2nd hospital visit has faded! That has to be a step in the correct direction.

I had an internal debate about weather to run at lunch today. Honestly we are going to get snow tomorrow and the weather was so nice today. I felt fine so out I went. 5 wonderful miles! It was definitely the correct call.

Highlight of my week

Thursdays are quickly becoming the highlight of my week. Why? Because it is the day of my testing. The day I find out if the numbers are going up and the prednisone will continue to go down.

Every week I learn something to make the testing a little smoother. First it was drinking a ton of water in the morning starting as soon as I wake up.  I need to get my blood moving! 2 weeks ago my veins kept collapsing because I was so dehydrated. It also takes much longer to draw.

The other thing I am doing differently is wearing gloves all morning. Hopefully this will make the appointment as smooth and quick as possible.  My veins can be very tricky to find and when they draw from my hands they have to warm them with a heating pack. Then again maybe they will find that elusive vein near my elbow today.

Nope, she thinks the vein was scarred and she couldn’t hit it. They took blood from my hand again! Unfortunately the gloves did not do enough and I had to wait for them to warm up my hands with a heat pack.  Thankfully that does not take too long.

Great news my number for the week is 239k, well with in normal and the prednisone is dropping again!!
